This week in “Thanks, Internet” — Neil DeGrasse Tyson drops the mic, "The Shining" plus chickens, and Ted Cruz liking Nickelback win the internet this week.
1. The Chickening
If you only watch one thing this week, please make it this totally sick and absolutely brilliant remix of "The Shining."
2. Ted Cruz Likes Nickelback

I do not know (or care) if this claim is true, but I love this guy trolling Ted Cruz with this sign all over Iowa. (In case the connection isn't obvious to you, Ted Cruz was born in Canada, which also happens to be the homeland of one of the worst bands ever, Nickelback.)

3. The Accidental Marathoner
This dog ran a half-marathon by accident and came in seventh place. She definitely deserves a treat.
4. Round and Round
If you're a rapper, this was the week to lose it publicly on Twitter. Kanye and Wiz Khalifa took to the tweets to air their beef (though Kanye has since deleted most of the tweets since all he wants is "peace and positive energy.")
But their skirmish has nothing on the kerfuffle between B.o.B. (rapper) and Neil DeGrasse Tyson (astrophysicist) over the shape of the planet. Yes, this debate was settled a long, long time ago. Earth is, indeed, round. But B.o.B. is a flat earth truther who thought Twitter would be a good platform to express his thoughts on the subject (as well as his theories on celebrity cloning — we're talking about dozens of wild and crazy tweets).
Being a man of reason, not to mention our most prominent cosmographer, Neil DeGrasse Tyson felt compelled to share some cold hard facts with B.o.B. But if Tyson thought that would put an end to the ridiculous conversation, he was mistaken. B.o.B. responded the best way he knows how, through song. His diss track, "Flatline," has been taken down from Soundcloud, but you can read the lyrics with scientific annotation here. NDT, never one to be intimidated, made an appearance on "The Nightly Show" in which he literally dropped the mic on B.o.B.
5. Werk It
Rihanna and Drake have given us the song that will be stuck in our heads for the foreseeable future. #dreamteam
